Tour Itinerary
We depart your accommodation at approximately 7:30am and wind our way over the Blackall
Range, through the beautiful Mary Valley to the rugged Conondale Range. Spectacular
coastal and mountain scenery unfolds as our adventure begins; enjoy interesting and
informative commentary about the history, legends, characters and points of interest of
this fascinating area.
Enjoy delicious homemade damper and "cocky's joy" with morning tea beside a
crystal clear stream before we journey deeper into the heart of the rainforest. |
 |
 |
Gaze through our huge (and spotlessly clean) windows and observe native animals,
birds, and trees of the rainforest. You may even be lucky enough to spot an elusive
platypus in its native habitat. Along the way, learn something of how this
biodiversity plays such and important role in our quality of life. |
| Swim if you like, in crystal clear rock pools beneath cascading waterfalls. Your
knowledgeable and entertaining eco-guide will walk you along dense rainforest lined
streams, beneath the thick green canopy, where cool moist air and incredible stillness
lingers; silence except for the shrill calls of the birds, the scurrying sounds of small
animals and occasional puffs of wind breathing through the canopies. |
 |
After lunch we enter an area of such significance it
is gated and locked against general vehicle access. An area so pristine you'll find
yourself talking in whispers. Here in the 'real' world you'll want to linger as long
as you can, as your savour tropical fruits for afternoon tea
in a part of the world not many others have ever seen...
... but, eventually we'll have to take you back...
... back to your accommodation, arriving around 5pm
feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and thoroughly at peace with the world. |
